The mission of the secondary level library program is to create a culture of literacy and inquiry throughout the school community.
To achieve this mission, librarians will:

- exemplify a leadership role and contribute to the overall learning community by promoting student learning through technology, literacy, and collaboration with teachers.
- provide professional development for classroom technology integration, share information about new resources, and demonstrate innovative instructional tools.
- maintain a professionally developed collection of print and digital materials to support the curricular, informational, recreational, and research needs of all learners.
- assist learners in locating resources that match their academic and personal interests.
- provide a dynamic learning space with fluid boundaries accommodating for diverse needs.
- model and teach information literacy and digital citizenship to empower learners to make ethical, informed choices in an increasingly complex and changing society.
